  1. kindle is going to be a really good fit in baltimore.
  2. considering the quality of his hitting, this is pretty sad.
  3. i didn't really watch the draft, but from espn's coverage, i can assume that tim tebow and nobody else was drafted in the first round.
  4. well the flyers have already exceeded my expectations.... especially boucher. not going to be fun playing the caps without carter and gagne.
  5. goodbye winning record
  6. tennessee has been rained out. archer is having a bad day: 4 ip, 7 h, 3 r, 1 bb, 4 k, 2 hr. he didn't allow a single home run last season.
  7. you seriously could pay me $50,000 to manage this team better than lou piniella is doing for $4,000,000.
  8. nady career line against LHP as a major leaguer: .305/.379/.470/.849 colvin career line against LHP as a minor leaguer: .277/.308/.460/.768 oliver perez career splits against RHB: .246/.352/.428/.780 oliver perez career splits against LHB: .225/.310/.366/.677 which cub would you have in the lineup??? if you selected xavier nady, you're smarter than the man the cubs are paying four million dollars to mismanage the 2010 team.
  9. nady career line against LHP as a major leaguer: .305/.379/.470/.849 colvin career line against LHP as a minor leaguer: .277/.308/.460/.768 great move you fat old turd.
  10. is it wrong that i'm already rooting for the cubs to lose 90+ games this year so that ricketts pretty much has to fire hendry and lou and the cubs get a good draft position next year?
  11. lol, two of the flyers' top 6 forwards (carter and gagne) suffered a broken foot after getting hit with a slapshot last night. this on top of playing our backup goalie because our starter is out for the year. so glad i'm a flyers fan.
  12. i bet he'll advise them to find players who are more consistent.
  13. daryl washington, olb, texas christian
  14. peoria won 4-2. mcnutt pitched pretty well (5 ip, 5 h, 1 r, 1 bb, 5 k) while latham got the save (2 ip, 1 h, 0 r, 2 bb, 4 k). nobody really did anything that great on offense, but cerda was 2-4 with 2 rbi and h-j lee was 1-3 with a walk. iowa lost 6-5. casey coleman had a tough start (5.2 ip, 7 h, 6 r, 1 bb, 3 k). gaub and stevens each pitched a 1-2-3 inning. brad stevens had a big day, going 4-5 with a double and 2 homers.
  15. anyone have a BA subscription? there's an article on cashner today.
  16. thank God we paid this shut-down middle reliever almost $4m a year
  17. i'm starting to feel less optimistic about our world series chances.
  18. do the referees in the flyers-devils game realize that it's the playoffs and the games are being televised? what an embarrassment.
  19. bad outing for antigua: 3.2 ip, 4 h, 3 r, 5 bb, 6 k. normally he has good control, too.
  20. the rangers have 7 SB's on 4 innings against the red sox (tim wakefield)
  21. if you're going to give teams a 5-on-3 in the playoffs, you should probably make sure that the second penalty called is not complete horse [expletive].
  22. cabrera had a bad first inning for daytona after two very good starts to open the year - he allowed 5 hits and 6 runs, though only 3 were earned (junior lake made a pair of errors)
