    Man that oppo home run was a thing of beauty. Actually came on a pretty good pitch. Really impressive to be able to go with that low outside strike and drive it out to right field.

    No excuses for Belgium to not at least make the semis. I have no idea what his job security is but does Belgium's coach get fired if they don't make the semis? The bottom half of the draw is loaded. The top, not so much. Funny that Italy wins the group and draws Spain while Belgium finishes second and gets Hungary, but that's the way it goes sometimes. In addition to winning the H2H match, the winner of Italy/Spain could have a road of Germany, France/England and then Belgium to win the title. the bottom half has won 20 major titles (11 world cup, 9 euro). the top half has won zero.

    not sure who this 17 year old guy is pitching for the azl cubs, but i don't think it's too early to proclaim him the next pedro martinez. or since he's mexican... teddy higuera or fernando valenzuela.

    yeah he has to be one of the fastest catchers in the league. much more athletic than your standard fat ass like wilson ramos or the molinas.

    i feel like it's not even surprising that the cards draft some random college player in the 13th round and he turns into one of the best players from his draft year.
