  1. i don't think many people consider them a juggernaut when two starting outfielders are on the DL and the fourth OF is also injured.
  2. that's optimistic, with the great billy hamilton coming to the plate.
  3. vogelbach seems to be turning his fat guy/batting practice power into game power. considering some of the pathetic DH's going around for AL clubs these days, i would think he'd be in high demand from that league.
  4. i cannot answer because i do not want to ponder the existence of a world in which kris bryant is playing for a team other than the cubs.
  5. i also remember when he couldn't hit on the road. and when he was less valuable than bryon buxton.
  6. i put $10 on him to win mvp when he was like 2nd in NL WAR and was still paying 26-to-1.
  7. according to mlb gameday, kris bryant is the first player in mlb history to hit 3 home runs and 2 doubles in a single game.
  8. not often you see a line of 5 4 5 6 next to a guy's name in the box score.
  9. feels like we should have even more runs than we do. a lot of hard hit outs tonight.
  10. i feel like montero has to be playing hurt. either that or he got extremely out of shape in the offseason. there's no reason for him to collapse so badly as a player in just one offseason.
  11. who is adam duvall and why does he have 21 home runs on the season
  12. ian happ is hitting .733 at tennessee, if he can keep that up i think he will move up the prospect rankings.
  13. Say less things. So you honestly believe that hypothetically, if a star player who had been accused of PED shut down his accuser in the manner that he did, he would continue to use them? Look, I'm not saying that he did, because I don't think he did, as he always had the strength and the velo. I'm arguing that a guy who was openly accused of usage would be enough to get them to stop. saying the same stupid thing two times does not make it any less stupid.
  14. makes total sense. he got on PEDs to be awesome at baseball, used them for a couple of years, then just decided to stop using them and become bad at baseball again. I honestly don't believe it in the slightest. But hypothetically, the accusation would absolutely be enough to get somebody to stop.
  15. there might actually be something to this conspiracy theory if the cubs had given him a massive contract in the offseason. now the argument is that he's just gone off of PEDs despite them making him the best pitcher on the planet, and making him worth upwards of $30m a year if he can sustain his performance for another year and a half. makes total sense if you've been hit in the head repeatedly with a brick.
  16. Whut. No, not really. But if these struggles continue much longer, you know that chatter's going to resurface. makes total sense. he got on PEDs to be awesome at baseball, used them for a couple of years, then just decided to stop using them and become bad at baseball again.
  17. literally everybody's bullpen is better than the reds.
  18. i was told after his last start that addressing this command issue would be an easy fix.
  19. vogelbach's OPS is now 5th in the PCL, behind a guy who plays in el paso, his former teammate (willson), a guy who plays in reno, and some 30 year old who also plays out west. #tradebait
  20. Eloy Jimenez was PH for in the 4th inning last night, and isn't in the lineup today. What the dillyo?
