    i have also seen articles about how franklin would be a great hire for almost every school in the country, except for penn state because of the rape thing. one guy actually bashed usc for not interviewing franklin and then bashed penn state for hiring him.

    the baseball hall of fame is a great place to visit, but unfortunately it's run by complete imbeciles. this is just further proof. people turn in absolutely moronic ballots and suffer no repercussions, but a sportswriter turns his vote over to the public (who fill out a very reasonable ballot) and he gets slammed. [expletive] off.

    i like the blurb about him at the bottom of the article, where it identifies him as a lifelong cub fan and illinois resident, and then oh by the way, he's a senior majoring in creative writing at some tiny midwest bible school that nobody has ever heard of.

    i would have preferred to keep hendriks, if for no other reason than him being from perth.

    i kinda hope that maddux makes it and then like two years after his enshrinement, it comes out that he was basically using more roids than turn-of-the-century barry bonds. just to watch the meltdowns from the bill plaschke types who voted him in as the "only clean player."

    I don't know. I think he writes a pretty compelling case, and the things that were said to him by his coaches is disturbing and unacceptable, but in terms of linking what was said/done to him and his release from the Vikings, there are 2 sides to every story. I have a hard time believing that in a results driven league, teams would actually choose to burn a 5th round pick and release an adequately performing punter because he outwardly supports gay marriage. Either way, he's certainly blackballed now. Explain Kerry Rhodes not being employed by any team last year. The Bears sure could have used him instead of Chris Conte. he can't be worse than patrick chung, starting safety on the eagles, whose singular talent seems to be injuring his teammates.

    Actually saw this segment. They had the studio guys create a lineup for the D-Backs. Mitch went with this: Parra/Hill/Prado/Trumbo/Goldschmidt/Montero/Pollack/Didi yeah i'd bat martin prado third and paul goldschmidt fifth, great plan :lol:

    are the bears one of the worst teams ever against the run? including this game they've allowed 2425 yards on the ground and more than 5 yards a carry. that's [expletive] terrible.

    coming into this game, the eagles had been penalized 9 more times than the bears for 130 more yards.
