  1. as usual, everyone's hacking away at the first pitch... great approach in a four-run hole
  2. He's hurt. He has to be... not really... could just be in a funk b/c his mechanics are out of whack
  3. drop Gomes, add Adrian Gonzalez
  4. what the crap is the deal with me having to get a "premium pass" to watch some footage on there? I tried to watch highlights from Wednesday's game, and got the message that I had to pay $30 more. MLB.tv is like a crack whore... give them money and they just want more.
  5. How do you single out Sosa and Biggio (both terrible arguments anyway) and not mention how Barry Bonds is basically hobbling on one leg in left field? And Bonds is going to sit out on the road to make sure he breaks the record at home... real team player there. Seeing how Barry Bonds has the highest OBP and SLG in the league, I think it'd be a little silly to say that he's too old to play.
  6. awesome link, but think you meant this for another thread
  7. http://www.turnto23.com/sports/3897794/detail.html
  8. yeah we know that white trash sox fans always drink in moderation
  9. no you don't, because for the Cubs this would mean -mediocre pitching -awful hitting -Bad News Bears-like defense
  10. sorry, didn't know she had family members on this board
  11. i think snelling could be a pretty good player if he'd stop hurting himself. Problem is, he seems to have the unfortunate combo of a fragile body and balls-to-the-wall playing style
  12. is it ironic when someone sings a song about irony, and almost none of the things are ironic?
  13. Amen ... all I ask for are bigger cars, bigger engines and bigger gas tanks. had to be done: http://media.arstechnica.com/journals/thumbs.media/canyonero.jpg
  14. Rain on your wedding day could be ironic. If it was destined to be a bad marriage for example. still, most of those things were just unfortunate, not ironic
  15. I wish Harry were still around to say this one, especially backwards. I still remember Harry's first time with Grudzy back in '96 or so: "heyyy Mark Grudzaneck, good-lookin young ballplayer for the Montreal Expos" His name on his uniform was hilarious... it was like a rainbow around his numbers and almost went under his armpits.
  16. You made two mistakes here: 1. Listening to Jim Rome 2. Caring about what A.J. Pierzynski had to say
  17. yea he's not hitting well enough where he is, move him please
  18. Give me a break, the guy has been a dynamic player for five years now... you might not like the signing but he was playing far, far below what could be reasonably expected from him.
  19. I'm not against contracting the Cubs. How else will I kick this habit?
  20. Zambrano will also not have an ERA over 8, and Soriano will not be an unproductive outfielder, and the Cubs will also start winning a few games by 1 or 2 runs.
  21. I can't imagine Marshall would get the call after only two rehab starts. He hasn't even been overly impressive... more like average.
  22. thanks guys... can someone also post the one for the cubs-mets game when dempster and latroy blew a three run lead in the 9th? i'd like to get as pissed off as possible.
