  1. I like how theriot gets on base and stuff
  2. yup, typical cubs... can't score for beans in most games, but every once in a while they'll throw double digits up on the scoreboard
  3. haha ward would've been out by 50 feet if not for the missed cutoff man
  4. if that was pujols, we'd all be begging for a fastball in his ribs
  5. I'd want the best hitter on the team... so Lee, then Ramirez, then Soriano.
  6. he definitely enjoyed the view on that one
  7. who actually thought the cubs would score here? ahaha i love being wrong about the cubs
  8. please stop talking about keith hernandez' mustache
  9. no, shea is awful in just about every way possible
  10. glad we started the discussion about how zambrano is looking better
  11. wish people would say this sort of thing after the game
  12. eh, let them have their whipping boy Yeah, I probably should. I just hate to see guys gets dogged for reasons they can't avoid. So knowing the situation by keeping the runner out of scoring position by not attempting a risky dive is not avoidable? it's reyes... he'll end up on 2nd base either way
  13. eh, let them have their whipping boy
  14. there's the obligatory "bitching every time someone doesn't get a run in from 3rd with less than two outs" More like the obligatory "Jones does not understanding the current situation of the game" because he grounded out? If it were easy to hit a deep fly or get a hit every at bat, I'm sure he would just do that all the time. Somehow it's acceptable to ground out or strike out with the bases empty, but if you do those things with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs, then you "don't understand the current situation of the game."
  15. If he didn't swing at any of those pitches he would've walked. if he was a better hitter, he might not be a pitcher
  16. there's the obligatory "bitching every time someone doesn't get a run in from 3rd with less than two outs"
  17. damn you soriano! this team never gets clutch two-out hits! that's why we are losing so much!
  18. Glad to see E-Patt with another walk today... he's shown me that he can hit for decent power and average at any level, so now I'm more interested in his walk rate and defense improving.
  19. Don't even start thinking about it. Either the Mets or the Braves are gonna get it. Good point. Looks like smoltz may be out a while. That could aid our WC chances. i admire your somewhat insane optimism
  20. Are we going to see tears on draft day if the Cubs select Vitters and Wieters is still available? you will from me
