  1. your prediction was almost perfect... two of the first three got on, lee hit a medium range fly ball that everyone freaked out over.... only thing that was missing was ARam's ground out to short
  2. some little kid had a sign saying this was his first cubs game... his dad picked a good one!
  3. "baseball like it oughtta be"? what the hell does that mean.
  4. yup, and he's been in the league for 37 years. That tells you everything you need to know about accountability of major league umpires - there is none. They made a whole stink about umpire metrics a few years back, but bottom line, an umpire can be inconsistent, bullyish, flat-out wrong pretty frequently, and nothing will happen. It's sad, but MLB has no balls, so they won't fix a damn thing.
  5. brewers must be breathing a sigh of relief that they don't have to face the fearsome rob bowen
  6. Your attitude today has been completely trollish. Truffle with a 'tude ??? I don't believe it !! just wait til football season, i'm accused of trolling at least once a week!
  7. lol love the side view of that strikeout... floyd missed that pitch by a solid two feet good shot on froemming, unfortunately he has a lot of padding to cushion the blow
  8. let's get some runs! and by that i mean go down in order each of the next two innings.
  9. in other words, turn game off now Hey.... we're due, no ?? :bluekoolaid: statistically we are due...whether that works in cubbie world or not...well...we will find out shortly anytime you think the cubs are statistically due for something, just think about 1908, and you'll realize that "statistically due" means nothing for this franchise.
  10. i think every fan in attendance has caught a foul ball at this point
  11. typical and by the way, classic bullpen work today... pitch great when the game is out of reach, but when it's close they implode.
  12. Shouldn't that be spelled "l-a-r-g-e a-s-s"? I was gonna say largeness.
  13. he tried, but froemming's magically expanding strike zone didn't allow the walk
