Is it possible to get Tracy and J Vazquez?

If we were willing to take vazquez's salary would this give us some wiggle room with Tracy?? Williams, Navoa, pinto and sing? would that be enough??. What about walker, do they have any need at 2B?

Looks like the trade talks for Vazquez are starting to heat up. No mention of teams interested though.

Trades talks involving pitcher Javier Vazquez have been heating up and the Diamondbacks are close to facilitating the right-hander's request to be dealt to a club closer to the East Coast.

 

"We've talked to a number of clubs, and we know where things stand," Diamondbacks General Manager Josh Byrnes said Monday, "so it's very possible something could happen before or during the winter meetings (which begin Dec. 5 in Dallas)."

 

Vazquez has submitted to the Diamondbacks his list of the six teams to which he would nix a trade, and according to industry sources and media reports, Philadelphia, Texas, Colorado and Seattle are on the list.

 

I could see Hendry interested in Vazquez. If he could get Tracy and Vazquez I would be one happy camper. Vazquez has the chance to be really good and he's going to give you the 200 innings that the Cubs sorely need. Tracy would be just the icing on the top. I'd love to see Tracy in RF. Haven't heard much about Tracy being available though.

with his salary you have to feel that arizona will either have to sweeten the deal or take some $$$, even though the Sp free agent market is scarce you have to say Vazquez is overpaid.

why not just go after tracy? how is his d in rf? he obviously can hit.

A Guy with around a 900OPS is not going to come cheap. The idea of taking vazquez is to take a problem off thier hands and enable us to negotiate a more realistic price for Tracy.

if the back's wont part with tracy without the cubs taking vazquez, i would rather they look elsewhere for their rf.
