Didn't he blame it on the booing too earlier in the season? I mean, the Cubs never get booed on the road or anything, especially in St. Louis.

I remember this being discussed earlier. I'm wanting to say wind was the culprit earlier this season.

I don't think it's a fluke at all. This team scores runs in bunches and I think it's their inconsistancy that makes them struggle at Wrigley.

How is that different from saying it's a fluke?

Unless you're saying that the cubs either score a lot or very few runs at home while they're more consistent on the road and that other teams are more consistent here and at their home parks?

Someone want to poke whoever it was (fred? bob?) who broke down runs/game last year so we can get stdev on cubs at home vs away and the numbers of our opponents?

I have no stats to back it up, but it seems as if the Cubs suck when the wind blows in. I guess that's what happens when the offense is so reliant on home runs like it has been in the past couple seasons. That's when defense and the ability to move runners becomes more important, weaknesses of this team.

I heard on a telecast not too long ago that the wind has blown in a lot this year, more than blowing out.

I'd be interested to know what the Cubs record is with the wind blowing in vs out the last couple seasons. Does anyone know how to look that one up?
