Will Keith Foulke find himself on the trade market this Winter ?

``If I'm not on the postseason roster, if they don't think I'm good enough, that will be an even bigger story. I'm making $7.5 million. If I'm not on the postseason roster, there's probably a pretty good chance I won't be here (in 2006).''

When asked if he believed that the team had confidence in him, Foulke said, ``Do you think I give a (expletive) about their confidence? It's all about me.''

And, here is his contract status:

- 04:$3M, 05:$7M, 06:$7.25M

- 2007 option may vest (with 45 games each 04-06 or 95 games 05-06)

- 2007 option may be a club option ($7.5M with $1.5M buyout)

- 2007 option may be a player option ($3.75M, or $7.75M with 53 GF 2006)

Sounds like one unhappy camper in Boston. I wonder what the Sox would be able to do with him ? He's been nothing short of terrible.

I genereally like Boston and their knucklehead persona. But, those guys need to learn to shut their freaking beaks. Whether its Manny, Millar, Damon, Schilling or Foulke, take a vacation from the drama, boys.

i love the title of this thread

Me too.

And it reminds me of Jerome James' response to Sonics coach Nate McMillan's calling him selfish:

"I don't know what he's talking about, cause I just worry about Jerome."

Funny, I interpreted Foulke's "It's all about me." quote as meaning that the teams confidence is not relavant. It is his self-confidence that matters to his performance. I'm not sure I disagree.

DIDN'T YOU SEE! HE PITCHED WITH A BLOODY SOCK!

Oh god, that was beyond nauseating last season. I wanted him to just get a shellacking so I could laugh at him for being such a "warrior" and a general nuisance about the entire situation.

Cub fans would have been lining up to have Mark Prior's babies if he pitched in the playoffs with a detached tendon in the ankle.

This Cub fan wouldn't, particularly if Prior dove in front of every camera in the world to tell us about it, like Schilling did. That guy and his media acolytes (especially those at ESOXPN) need to shut up.
