Anyone know if Nomar cleared? If he is not in the Cubs' future plans and since Neifi did not clear, then Nomar should go either via trade or DFAing to give guys like Cedeno and McClain playing time.

 

I wonder what kind of haul the Cubs could get for Nomar? Would Nomar still be considered a Type A free agent if the Cubs do offer him arb? I don't the Cubs would but I was wondering.

 

I heard on either the Score or ESPN that Nomar was not put through waivers.

 

Really? That would make me think that Hendry would either want him back or thought the injury would last longer or be too bad to trade. Can the Cubs still put him on waivers since tomorrow is the deadline?

 

I am not sure if the Cubs can put him on waivers before tomorrow but I was surprised to hear he was not put on waivers.
