8/28/05 - Ryne Sandberg Game

Has the Cubs released any sort of schedule regarding the festivities for Ryne? Would it be the same as Santo's? Before the game, with basically the same type of stuff? Went over to the Cubs main site, but really didn't see anything. :(

The only thing I've heard is that the ceremony starts at 12:35. Other than that, I don't know of anything else. I'm thinking the gates for the bleachers will open sooner than normal, but I don't know for sure.

i plan on streaking that day. . . . . i'll be wearing a smile, a pair of tennis shoes, and will have "ryno rocks" written on my rear end.

 

 

 

I'm very much looking forward to this coming weekend. I have nosebleed seats for the 27th. . . . .plan on consuming an old style or 6. Then it's on to the 28th and finishing up my summer of sandberg!

I got my father tickets to the game, because my stepmom isn't a huge baseball fan, but she's a huge Ryne Sandberg fan. She always says, "best buns in baseball!" whenever he's mentioned, which cracks me so very up every time. So now they can both enjoy the game together.

 

So I'm interested in getting the official word on the ceremonies & the game, too.

I checked into the future with my digital cable thing. WGN is showing a Retiring Ryno show from 12:30-1, followed immediately by the game. So I guess that's some sort of news.
