The Cubs need to just play out the remaining schedule and hurt as many teams’ chances in the wild card as they can in the process. It looked like baseball was played in Wrigley yesterday by the Cubs. It was a wonderful game that I can only compare to a parent or relative having alzheimers having a good day. They seemed like their old selves at least for the day and your enjoyment was bitter sweet.

But I hold no illusions for this team this year. I hope they play with pride the rest of the year and show the best fans in the world some hustle. That's all we've ever asked.

It was nice to see D Lee get back to being D MVLee. C. Pat was 3-4. Marcia and Neif! Both got on ahead of D Lee to be hit in. Maddux did everything he could to for this team and wasn't going to let this game go.

It was a nice game to watch.

It was the closest example I could think of on how I truly feel.

It's first hand, yes. I wouldn't use the analogy otherwise.

I think we should change the knickname of this year's edition of The Chicago National League Ballclub from the Cubs to the Sybills.

The Chicago Sybills...you just never know which team will show up!

It's not even that they have multiple personalities. It's like building a race car with some of the finest material money can buy and it barely gets around the track. So you look for the problem and try other parts in your tool box to see if it works in your car and some times it does and some times it doesn't. I hated nothing more then going out to my car for school and it doesn't start. An unreliable car and the 2005 Cubs are the perfect analogy. You don't know if their going to set the track record or it's not even going to turn over when you try and start it up.
