Hey DJAXX, have you heard the DJAXX might be moving? Article in our local paper yesterday said they have the lowest attendance out of any other minor league team and may be looking for a new location. Almost wet my pants when I read that Columbia might be their new home

The Jaxx had been discussing the possibility of moving as recently as in the past month. However, the Jaxx have come out and made an announcement that they plan on staying at least through the 2006 season. They have stated that they want to remain in Jackson and make things work. They feel it is possible if they can just get the average attendance at 2,500 per game.

I'm sure you've noticed that we have a Q & A going with Jeff Parker, General Manager for the Jaxx. If you have any questions on the subject, feel free to post them for him to receive.

It would help if the local fan base in Jackson weren't up the Cardinals butts. All I hear at the Chip is fans sitting in the bleachers discussing the freakin Cards. They even sell Rolen Cardinals jerseys in the clubhouse store! I've always wanted to ask Jeff about that...they sure as hell aren't selling Cubs jerseys at Autozone Park in Memphis!

I haven't looked lately, but the Jaxx web site used to have links to staff members, and one of the guys in marketing had on his web page that he was a huge Cardinals fan...made me sick!

Doesn't change the fact that I'd rather go there than to Autozone any day of the week!

For what it's worth, Nathan Baliva, broadcaster for Peoria is a huge Cardinal fan as well (See his Q & A). I know what you're saying about the Jaxx selling Cardinal stuff in the past but I don't think they're doing that any more.
