Unfortunately for the Twinkies, I don't think Boone will be any more productive for them than he was for the Mariners this year. But they did have a need at second base, so this is not a bad deal for them.

Before Spivey went down for the Nationals, they had an excess there with Vidro, Carroll, Spivey, and Harris in AAA. I thought they might have been a good partner for the Twins. Certainly better than Boone.

Wow, I didn't realize Cuddyer was struggling as much as he is. Punto is having a solid season, but he's a pretty mediocre offensive third baseman. That doesn't really improve them a whole lot, since Boone hasn't been much better(if at all) than Cuddyer.
