I'm Guessing the Padres, Yankees, Twins in that order.

Good guesses. All of those teams need some help at 2B. I wouldn't rule out Boston, Toronto or the Mets.

Cano is doing quite well though. I know we are talking about the org that makes dusty look like a rookie lover, but I think Cash is kinda in "I told you so" mode and has really put his foot down on not trading Cano or Wang.

I've seen one article today that mentions the Cubs as a darkhorse for Boone. (Can't link to it or quote - premium stuff.)

Other than the fact that we like cheap reclamation projects, I can't imagine why the Cubs would want him. Now that he's off the juice, he's barely average.

But he's still better than Jose Macias. If the Cubs did not have to pick up more than $500K and didn't have to give back more than a marginal prospect, I'd make the trade.

If Boone replaces Macias I wouldn't mind him coming off the bench as a pinch hitter, he's a good defender and still has some pop in his, he's also a smart baserunner with a fiery attitude. He hasn't played third base before but 8 games in the early 90's I wonder if he could be a backup thirdbaseman if Aram needs a rest, Boone has a strong arm.

Maybe the Cubs are talking the Mariners about Winn, Ibanez, Everday Eddie and as a throw in might get Boone back in a deal.
