They're good for the same reason this team languishes at .500: they execute. Enough can't be said of a team that maximizes their runs. When their pitching's good they execute and play small ball in order to win. It's not always how many runs you score or give up but when you do so. That's why stats are meaningless unless they're used in conjuction with visul performances.
