Chapter 1: 1908 Improvement Thread

Hey everyone! I've been working on a new book for a long time now, and I've planned to post it today. It's called 1908, and it details the Cubs' journey from before that year to 2016. I always implement a human view as well as a people-centered view on events; I also incorporate historical backgrounds to make the times feel more organic.

Please don't make this about me--I'm not going to respond to anything about me, because I want to talk about this before I start my next chapter. I really need commentary to enhance my narrative, so I'm looking forward to on-topic, thoughtful, and relevant responses. The main content is roughly 10 pages, so it won't be that much. There is an introduction page and sources if you are interesting in learning where I got all of the information from. This chapter is set in the year 1908, and the next chapter will explore curses.
