Erstwhile prospect LF/CF Ismael Mena took the field for the first time in nearly a year. The speedy free swinger acquired in the Darvish trade was the Cubs #15 prospect entering 2021 - according to Baseball America.   However, he missed 2020 (of course) and didn't hit a lick during his ACL stints in 2021 and 2022 or in Myrtle Beach in 2023 and early 2024.  He began his rehab stint by going 2 for 4.
