Free Agent & Trade Rumors section launched

This is a really useful tool to grow the site. As you come across rumors regarding the Cubs, hit this link and share the rumor, just like you'd create a post in the forum:

Why is this useful? Because Google hates forums. By creating a different, SEO-friendly portion of the site to share rumors, it helps our search footprint considerably and is easier to share on social media channels.

After the rumor has been created, it works just like a forum thread. It appears in the Cubs Talk forum with "Rumor:" preceding the title. From there, people can comment and operate just as if it's a forum-only topic and I can loop back around, add a photo, and do whatever I need to do to help SEO the piece so it reaches more eyeballs.

As we approach the deadline, I will add a link to the Cubs forum so this portion of the site is easily accessible and in front of peoples' brains.

Just a thought, but it might be worth pinning this post in Cubs discussions.  Just thinking that this info can be easily lost down in this forum section, but if someone was gonna post a rumor...Cubs discussions is gonna be where it's at.

Yeah, good point. I'll do that when the deadline stuff starts circulating more intensely.
