I'm not a fan of the Cubs' efforts to identify/develop pitchers (and that's well-known here), but I will admit the pre-draft workouts where they invite top draft prospects and their parents to Wrigley Field and let them meet Theo & staff and ask questions is awesome.

 

Both DJ Herz and Kohl Franklin said they came away really impressed with the Cubs organization, and loved the atmosphere and feel of Wrigley Field. This is a good way to leverage our advantages since the Cubs are capped in how much they can spend on the draft/IFA's.
