A couple of questions:

 

Can you pick someone from the wilcard list to be one of your position players or can they only be bench players?

 

Can I move a bench player to my position roster as part of a transaction? (Drop my 2b - move my 2b qualified bench player to my roster - pick up new bench player?

 

Along the same lines If I drop my 2B and my 3B also qualified at 2B can I move him to 2B and add a 3B when I drop my original 2b?

Bench <=> Wild Card - just rebranded

No.

Originally I would say no, but I'm going to have to say yes, based on how I drew up the rules.

It's the first year with these rules, so we'll have to see how it goes.

To clarify - you don't have to pick players from my grouping of players for Bench players. You can pick anyone who isn't in the salary tiers.

I was just made aware that there is another Japan series this season, that will be the "official" start to the MLB regular season. I am not going to change any of our deadlines, and since it is just two games, it won't have that much of an impact on our game here.

It was so fun putting a team together. And the results are going to be so much different this year because there's so much parity. Like before everyone is always going to pick a lot of the same players but now there's a strategy behind it with the addition of dollars and positions. It's like "Well, do I want Stanton here at this much? If I do I can only spend $25 at SS... hmm" whereas before 75% of the field would put Stanton on there because he's the best power hitter in the category and it's a no brainer.

I signed up two of my co-workers ... but I had them also send their rosters to me, so I could get them situated. This is in case moderators don't approve their posts in time.

 

Also - full disclosure - one of my co-workers had two errors. One, he selected Matt Olson twice, and secondly, he didn't know Olson is out 6-8 weeks. That won't reflect on his post. I'll post his changes - which were made before the deadline - in the discussion thread here.

My co-worker (Pymptonite) replaced Olson with Rizzo at 1B (same cost) and Olson with Eddie Rosario (same cost) at OF. Again, these do not count as any transactions.

 

I'm working on finalizing the scoreboard coding (formulas), and then I'll get everyone's Bench Players posted publicly prior to the first pitch of the first game (Noon?).
