I wonder when we'll see Adbert at Wrigley this year. I say he makes his debut sometime in July.

Fun Fact: When he makes his debut he will be the first Adbert to ever play in MLB. I've never met an Adbert before. I thought it was a misspelling the first time I read his name many years ago. I thought it was Albert or something like that.

He's probably making his debut Saturday in the DH, unless this postponement screws it up.(I doubt it will)

Really? Oh dang, I guess I missed that.

Yeah, that makes sense. I'm looking forward to seeing his debut.

He’ll be on standard 4 days rest because of today’s rainout so I still assume he’s the most likely guy to start the other game in the doubleheader.

Talked to Adbert for a little bit while he was signing a ball and card for my son in Omaha Friday night. My son asked if he was going to pitch, and I said he was supposed to pitch the night before but he’s resting. He told my son that he was resting to not pitch so much. I added “plus he has a double header coming up to pitch in.” Adbert just sheepishly grinned when I said it.

Nice kid. Took a second to talk to my son and thank him for coming out

Arizona Phil[/url]"]K-DUB: I know you ask about FB velocity from time-to-time, and so I have attempted to gather info about Cubs EXST FB velo:

Eury Ramos: 93-96 T-97

Danis Correa: 92-94 T 95-96

Stephen Ridings: 92-94 T-95

Jeremiah Estrada: 91-94

Eduarniel Nunez: 91-94

Fauris Guerrero 91-93 T-94

Ivan Medina: 91-93 T-94

Mitch Stophel: 91-93

Yovanny Cruz 91-93

Brailyn Marquez: 89-92 T-93

Jesus Tejada 91-92

Jose M. Gonzalez: 89-91 T-92

Faustino Carrera: 88-91

Benjamin Rodriguez: 87-90 T-91

Didier Vargas: 87-89 T-90-91

Eugenio Palma: 87-89 T-90

I don't have anything on some of the others (like Raidel Orta), and a pitcher's FB velo can vary from outing-to-outing.

My mind exaggerated Marquez's velo. I read "bumping mid-90's" on previous reports and went to 95. This is much less impressive.
