So not only do they spend more than anyone else but when that didnt work they try this? Why arent more teams also making shady but apparently legal moves? Could we do that? No clue what Iowa has to offer but with the way our staff has been so far it couldnt hurt

MLB came close to punishing them for DLing Maeda when he was healthy, but they decided against it since they could have just as easily optioned Maeda for the same roster benefit. Which is to say they're not exactly going unnoticed. I like the shorter DL as a way to kinda have a taxi squad, but using it to have a 6 man rotation with only 5 roster spots is probably across the line.

If the Marlins were doing this I dont think I would care one bit but when the team with THE MOST resources in baseball is doing it it pisses me off
