North Dakota State got the second most votes in the "others receiving votes" portion of the AP poll. They are good and probably would compete with a lot of FBS teams, if not beat a lot of them.

Iowa can still win the West so I guess that's cool. They'd probably even put up a game against the East team because they tend to play to whatever stupid team they're playing.

I can't remember, did App State get ranked after they beat Michigan or did they just get a lot of votes but not quite top 25?

I tend to block a lot of that early season out of my head

I think that was the game that made it so FCS teams could get votes in the FBS poll (not sure if it was FBS/FCS at the time) I don't think they were ranked though.
