So I really had no idea where to post this so o figured it fell under general baseball best. I bought a ps4 for Christmas and I've been out of the console gaming scene for quite a while. I was thinking I might get the newest version of MLB the show when it comes out. I noticed there are like 3 versions of the game. Special additions that come with packs and stubs and I honestly have no idea what those are because I haven't played MLB the show since the early 2000s probably. Can anyone explain this stuff to a poor confused old guy? Is it worth buying one of the premium versions? I can't seem to find anything that explains the pack/stubs stuff. I'm sure it was added to the game years ago but like I said I've been out of the console scene for quite a long time.

The packs and stubs are almost entirely for a mode called Diamond Dynasty, which involves collecting baseball cards and building a team from those players to compete with other players online. If your focus is primarily going to be on regular season or franchise modes, the extras aren't a big deal

Awesome that's all I needed to know, thanks Derwood

For the life of me I don't understand something about meter style pitching. The meter, for lefty pitchers, faces the exact opposite direction as the right handed meter.

So lets say you're using a righty starting pitcher for six innings and then go to a lefty reliever. With the meter facing the opposite direction timing becomes incredibly difficult. I don't see why there isn't a user option to alter the direction of the pitching meter.

Also the last version of the show I played, which was 2014 I believe, had players over the age of 30 have their attributes massively decline in the offseason. I like the idea of attribute decline and rising. But it was seriously flawed in execution.
