What's the appeal of attending a parade? It might just be that my short ass can't see [expletive] over people, but I don't really get it. Do you at least get to drink and act like an idiot?

Most people were at the end of the parade route, where there's a ceremony with different people talking and such.

 

I'm not a parade person at all, but if I were able I'd be all over a Cubs World Series parade. If for no other reason that I'd want to be as close to any activities related to the World Series victory as possible.

The atmosphere was incredible. It's just a huge party. I heard many people say that all circumstances should have made it a horrible day but that everyone had a blast.
