Now before you go rushing for your respective 'what the hell are you talking about' meme folders, I mean that in the best possible way.

 

Around this time of year, some of the surprise contenders are running out of gas. Some of the expected contenders are becoming anxious and buckling under the pressure, as did the 2008 Cubs.

 

But not these guys. They're just out there playing some baseball and having fun doing so like it was the middle of May. Not a care in the world. And there really shouldn't be, because whatever happens this October, it's just the maiden voyage; and it sure as hell doesn't look like the Titanic or the Challenger to me.

I was watching one of the Cardinals games this past weekend, and the Cubs were down two runs in the 7th. I was on edge like %#$@. One of the Cubs came up to bat, the whole team was clapping to the music. Really put things in perspective.
