Wouldn't signing big names be the way to increase gate success? Kind of silly to believe that's the aim at the cost of winning, because if that's true, they've been a massive failure.

 

It's reasonable to be burnt out by the long term plan...it's really hard to fault anyone for that. I certainly am. I don't watch the Cubs like I used to...or baseball as a whole for that matter. Most of my posts on this board these days have nothing to do with the Cubs. But I do think "the plan" will be successful in the long run...you can see some of that coming along now. That doesn't really help, though, when you're watching tons and tons of losses.

 

I don't question the org's motives...but there's plenty of things to question.
