Lawrie, since he played the number of games necessary at 2b last year, has been my 2b all year. Lawrie hasn't been at 2b this year but should still be allowed due to his status from last year per our rules. Arod got hurt today and for some reason it's making me take Lawrie off of 2b and won't let me put him back there. Can someone fix this so I can put my lineup in today?

Our league rule is that if he played the required numer of games the previous year (either 5 or 10 games, I'd have to look back at the rules) then he's eligible. He's been eligible all year at 2b on CBS as I've had him there, and for some reason, now he's not.

Here's the rule, and [expletive], I may be screwed:

Positional eligibility is determined by a players current starting position or his past use. These rules are set forth on the league site as 10 appearances at a position in the current year or 20 the previous year. However, if a player is "named" the starter at a position, immediate eligibility will be granted by the commissioner upon request and general concurrence. Pitchers may be moved into either SP or RP positions freely but may only be used in the role they are used by their major league team. Pitchers in a position other than where they are used will not accrue points during that appearance.

I guess CBS had Lawrie available to put at 2b because that's where he played in the minors. He played only 3b in the majors last year. I guess I just count myself lucky to have been able to play him at 2b all year thus far. Sigh.. Don't know why they change their eligibility now though.

i wouldn't say you're "screwed," i'd say you somehow got away with playing lawrie at 2b for half the season when he wasn't eligible there.

why are we paying cbs money for this shitty league again?

yeah, I'd have objected if i'd known about this. playing Lawrie at 2B and ARod at 3B is a pretty huge advantage. CBS sucks.

If I would have known that he shouldn't have been eligible there, I'd have never played him there. Never occurred to me to look since CBS had him eligible there. Notice, I'm not saying he should still be eligible there after going and looking at his 2011 stats.

When I said I was screwed, I meant with my request to get him added as 2b eligible.

i don't know if it's cbs just sucking or us tinkering this [expletive] league to death, but whatever it is, this league is kind of a mess.

I seem to remember CBS tinkering with position eligibility during the season last year as well. I don't believe it was this far into the season though.

this happened with me and casey mcgehee (lol) at 2b last year. he had been eligible at 2b the previous year and i left him there for part of last season, but at some point he was moved off and then couldn't be put back on because he wasn't supposed to be there in the first place. apparently if you leave a player at a position where he no longer has eligibility, it falls through the cracks.
