Speaking of relievers, when's Rhoderick going to Iowa?

When they run out of 40 year old retreads to sign. Seriously though, Cabrera will likely beat him there, but they should both make it sooner than later. With Maine getting the call up, I'd assume that 1 of the 2 should take his spot unless Dan Kolb or Frank DiPino show up looking for work.

And Cabrera.

isn't it kind of odd for marra to be a backup catcher? he signed for over $100k bonus and was a high school draftee from canada; seems like the kind of player who should get more playing time than a backup.

also, is rosario going to be the starting catcher for the azl cubs?

Yeah, I was surprised Marra is a backup in Boise. I assume Rosario will be the starter down in Mesa.

The pains of playing in Daytona:

Robert Whitenack ‏@whitenack10

Praying to the baseball gods to let me pitch more than 3 innings without a rain delay today!!!!

Seriously though, does it just rain all summer there? I thought it was supposed to just be warm and sunny.

Florida in the summer = practically daily rain storms. They'll last a little while and then it'll be beautiful out.

if by "beautiful" you mean hot and unbearably muggy, then yes.

i'd probably go to lots of minor league games if i didn't live in florida. it's just miserable.

A Marco Hernandez error allows Salem-Keizer to tie it and Boise is now in extra innings.

Justin Marra is 3/4 in his pro debut. Dong-Yub Kim hit a solo HR. Rock Shoulders is 0/2 with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks.

Rafael Diplan with his second straight fantastic 3+ inning outing out of the Boise pen.
