I sure didn't get offers of more than a first + prospect first + Taijuan + Singleton + (desmond replacement) for any single player.

 

The flip side is that I sure wouldn't trade Bauer + Trout for that package, which is essentially what I got in return for Shields/Longoria.

i gave up two superior prospects (including one who's blowing up major league pitching already) to get a package that was inferior (longoria is probably equal to miggy when taking position into account, but he's also missing a month more; shields is worse than price but i also got napoli).

 

i know it's cool that you just got two stars for a pretty weak package, but i'd suggest beefing up what you are sending (to replace desmond), because it sounds like the rest of the league thinks it's a bad deal and shouldn't go through.

oh yeah i forgot the tigers were having cabrera waddle around at 3b this year. you're right, for fantasy purposes miggy is definitely better.

As I would have too. I'm in the market for a SP, have been for a while, but I didn't even offer for Price because he's new and I wanted to give him a chance to get up to speed. Hell, I'd have given my first, the prospect of his choice including Lawrie or Jennings who have 2 exempt years left, Encarnacion if he needed a position player for now.. That already trumps what he got for both Price AND Miggy... If it came down to it, I'd have probably thrown in a first round prospect pick too. My trade would have been for one freaking guy, not 2.

and i don't really know why/what you're griping about...you got trout and bauer (two players way better than the prospects the new guy just got) for two players much worse than price + miggy.

I'm not griping. You guys were griping. I'm happy with the returns I got.
