Why can't I pick up anyone to replace an injured player? In the past, waivers were limited to those players that had been dropped within the waiver period. This makes no sense.

yeah, obv this system doesn't work. have to be able to pick up FAs to replace injured players.

Its not set to have everyone on waivers but I noticed the same thing. Only players that are dropped should be on waivers.

I believe what happened here is that everyone was placed on waivers when truffle reset the waivers day. should be cleared up after tomorrow.

Thanks Juan for the clarification. Being an "original" member of this league, I have to voice that I think it's going to hell. Granted, a lot of us in our mid 30's are reaching a time where we can't contribute a lot like we use to be able to, but the constant bitching and complaining about the rules are 1000x what they use to be. Just changing a waiver day to Sunday and messing with all the free agents out there make this not as fun as it use to be.

Sigh... :(

How many years ago was I 30-something? If you guys are willing to wait a few years until I go into retirement, then I may have time to run the league.

I tend to think its the economy and/or the fact that the Cubs are miserable this year.

But yes, this a $10 fanatasy league amongst friends. Life is too short. Have fun.

now wait a minute. waivers weren't on so people complained about that. then i turned waivers on and there were complaints about what day waivers were set for. so i changed the day that waivers run and more complaints come in. and just to remind you, i joined the league just over a year ago and don't really understand how the waiver process works.

shouldn't waivers run for like a day or two after a guy is dropped? why would they always run the same day?

To give everyone a fair shot of picking up a waived player. Since this is a league with weekly lineups and not daily lineups this is how waivers should run.

Sorry, wasn't calling you out specifically, just was complaining about how all the constant issues have made this league a lot less friendly and fun than it was when we started in 2001.
