The Yankees have hired Larry Rothschild as their pitching coach.

 

Rothschild, who has been the Cubs pitching coach from 2002-10, gets a three-year contract. He was also pitching coach of the 1997 World Series Champion Marlins and was the first manager in Tampa Bay (Devil) Rays history. Rothschild's main task will be to try to resurrect the career of A.J. Burnett, who tanked this past season in his second year with the team. Nov. 19 - 4:49 pm et
