Ok, so the Cubs are apparently going to try to change Randy Wells' game prep routine to help with his first inning woes...this is one of the things they have planned....

 

"We've come up with a couple little things we're going to tinker with," Piniella said. One, he said, is to have Wells throw the same pitch sequence in the bullpen that he will when he faces the first two or three hitters to start the game.

 

Um...doesn't that seem like a bad idea to TELL people?

hitters seem to have no problem hitting him when they don't know what's coming. might as well give it a shot.
