Baseball should be opening soon

Yahoo fantasy baseball should be opening in the next week or so. With the official start of Spring Training a mere 10 days away, I'm ready to start thinking about Opening Day.

 

I'm just trying to gauge interest in a Yahoo h2h 5x5 or 6x6 league (if it would be 6x6 the hitting category would be OBP and the pitching would be K/BB ratio). Number of teams will be determined by the amount of interest i get. Either post in this thread or IM me if you're interested in joining.

 

It would be a live draft probably sometime on a Monday or Thursday night on a yet-to-be-determined date, but it could be another night of the week depending on my work schedule.

 

Let me know! I hope to see a lot of you there, as there are some really, really good players here. I didn't do so well in my leagues last year after winning 2 of them in '08. I look to change that.

Ok, it's set up. It'll be 14 teams, 2 divisions, 6 playoff spots. 6x6 h2h yahoo league with a live draft set for 5 pm CST on March 1st. The draft time can change, though, if it's not suitable for everyone. Please understand, however, that it is completely impossible to choose a draft time that can accomodate all 14 people, so some folks are going to have to pre-rank.

 

The categories are: AVG, HR, RBI, SB, R, OBP, W, SV, K, WHIP, k/BB ratio, and ERA.

 

ACal, tfarks, Prizefight, and dew, your invites are in your IM box. If anyone else is interested, either IM me or post in this thread.

question about divisions though. this is my first year being a commish and i have never played with divisions. i have a 12 team league with 3 divisions. that should work out alright, or i should i trim it down to 2 divisions?

I've always done leagues that need more than 7 innings for pitchers. I've usually done around 25-30.Anyone have experience with less? I'm fine either way, that's the only stat that stuck out to me.

And I may adjust the pitching category to more than 7 IP, but 25-30 seems a bit high to me. I'll figure something out.

It would be nice if the draft was not held on a Friday or Saturday because I didn't get to live draft in last years NSBB league. And I would like to smack talk and crap during the draft this year.

once the league is filled I'll see what I can do about the draft time. Although I ask everyone's understanding.... it is damn near impossible to find a draft time that works for 14 random people. Some people are going to be unhappy no matter what the time is.
