I'm still pretty sure that I've never seen the Hawks convert on a regulation penalty shot.

 

I wish you could choose between taking a penalty shot or a power play.

 

it does seem like a power play would be better sometimes, but a penalty shot is still the mugh higher percentage play

 

Probably, I guess I'd like to have the option of controlling play for two minutes which could be beneficial in the waning minutes of a game, even if you're not successful then a quick shot that has no rewards for no success.

This is my favorite kind of hockey to watch. Scoreless hockey with lots of chances and good saves. It creates more tension.

I'm talking since about 7 minutes left in the game, we take the puck in their zone, and dump it into our zone whenever challenged. I'm just saying I'm used to the Hawks in these situations pushing hard for the third goal to put the game out of reach.

SWEET. Hawks win. Feels like it's been awhile since we scored an empty netter, but I might be missing one recently.

 

I love whenever we score an empty netter Foley always says "Hawks win" even when theres like a minute left ha.

 

Not the prettiest of wins, but it's a good road win over a playoff bound team.

why wasn't it pretty? i think you're underestimating how well they played tonight. it was a very pretty win. they dominated them for the majority of the game and the only reason the game was close was kiprusoff standing on his head for the first 2 periods. niemi was also very, very good.
