I like throwing Blanco in there for the day in such a big park. The guy has some speed and could easily drop a couple in the gaps and run all day in that monstrosity. Theriot needs to get some days off down the stretch and this is a good time to do it. We dont need him getting tired and turning into crap again.

What the hell is Landshark Lager?

I actually think the name is fitting for such a piece of [expletive] stadium.

Seriously though, LandShark stadium? Really?

I know it's named after the beer, but how long has that even been out? I didn't start seeing it in stores until like a month ago or something. I haven't even tried it yet because it looks so bland. I guess that fits the stadium, though.

I understand where you're both coming from, as far as outs being precious. But I can't change my mind on this...agree to disagree? I've always just been a fan of bunts (in good context), hit and runs, hitting to the right side, the small things. Obviously they should be used in moderation. But putting pressure on an opposing teams' defense is an unquantifiable thing, and it does make a difference. Add to that that we face a young pitcher tonight, prone to panicking probably, and small ball seems even more productive in my opinion. But we all want the Cubs to win, bottom line, and we NEED to at least take one game in this hell hole of a stadium.

I got money on this game, too. Please be good Z and not bad Z.

Go Cubs!!

Chances are if he were prone to panicking, he wouldn't have made it through the minors.

Cliche example, but what about Rich Hill with a runner on first? That's panic.

According to Wiki, Landshark debuted in 2006. I honestly can say I've never seen it or noticed it in stores.

Why does Lou feel the need to have the runner going on every 3-2 count no matter the situation?

I just turned the game on and Andres Blanco is somehow on base in the first inning with nobody else on, one out, and no runs scored... how is this possible?

Was it his .227 batting average against in those situations in his career that caused you to think that?
