Rotoworld:

Cubs activated RHP Ryan Dempster from the 15-day disabled list.

As expected, Dempster gets the nod for the first-place Cubs against Roy Oswalt and the Astros on Tuesday. All in all, this is was pretty rapid recovery for Dempster, who went on the disabled list on July 7 with a broken right toe. He returns to a 5-5 record and 4.09 ERA in 17 starts this season.

Cubs optioned RHP Justin Berg to Triple-A Iowa.

Well isn't that a gip. The 25-year-old Berg didn't get a chance to make his first big-league appearance after being recalled on July 25. He was sent down in order to make room for Tuesday's starter Ryan Dempster.

Confirmed by cubs.com under transactions.

If Berg doesn't ever return to the major leagues he can claim a career of having never allowed a single base runner. :D
