pujols just hit a grand slam. 8-4 cards.

I could have swore I heard in March that the Royals were supposed to contend this year. I don't know why since they've gotten destroyed this week.

Are they batting from second base at Coors Field in that game? They're not even through the fourth.

Well, you hope for more, but you take what you can get. On the bright side, we should have about 4 innings vs. that awesome Indians bullpen.

Guy isn't even at 50 pitches yet

He aint looking good though. Len and Bob say that hes a 5 inning max guy, and has once gone 6. I guess that means he'll go at least 8 though.

His last 3 starts have been 99,99,92 pitches and he hasn't gone over 100 all year. They pulled him from his best start at 55 pitches/5 innings with 0 runs given up. I don't know what to make of that

Because in the end, they're still the Royals. And they're still not very good.

yeah, it's kind of annoying that the cards' natural rival is a small-market perennial doormat.

he didn't start that game. their early pitchers got shelled and they put him in in the 5th inning.

Yet another important at-bat for Andres Blanco

Hes been at the core of the rallies the past 2 games, so he gets a pass here.

Oh no, he is one of my favorite Cubs this season for some reason. Somebody pointed out yesterday that it seemed like whenever a big hit was needed, Andres Blanco got an at-bat sometime during the rally.

Do they even think of themselves as rivals? The Cards have always been pretty good for the most part, and the Royals have been garbage, at least during the time of interleague play.

No Cardinal fan that I know considers the Royals a rival.

Milwaukee cuts Detroit's lead to 3-2. Milwaukee's two runs today have come on solo homers from Casey McGehee and Craig Counsell. Joke.

hey at least the royals seem willing to put up a fight today against the cards.

probably spoke to soon. cards have them loaded with no outs.
