Hopefully when this team gets its act together.

 

They won't make the games up. We are going to be so far out of the division and wild card by the time the could make them up that Lou will just say "well..........I...........guys I don't know what you want me to say.............................we're guna lose the rest of our games anyway, why play the damn things?!?!?!?!"

Remaining common off days:

 

7.15 (day after allstar game)

9.3 (likely the 6.16 makeup date)

9.10 (would create 32 consecutive days with a game for the Cubs, 24 for the Sox, when coupled with a 9.3 makeup)

 

As I see it, if something were to happen today, either a 9.3 double header, or a weekend crosstown double header has to happen.

 

 

That said, it is clear blue skies from my loop office window.

If that comes to be, might I suggest Mega Losers or Jim Hendrys Epic Failures?

Bruce reported in his blog that the early news is that Soriano will lead off today. Blanco will replace Miles at second base. And Fox was taking grounders again, but there didn't seem to be any intimation that he'd get a look at third.
