i don't even think it was because of rain today. it rained almost a foot and a half in 3 days; the field is probably either underwater or a mud pit.

clevenger is hitting .348 now. i know he doesn't have a lot of power or patience, but the boy can hit.

 

And he plays good defense.

 

Would certainly make a nice backup with that lefty bat.

frankly he's probably not that far away - he makes good contact and hits well for average, and the defense/game calling is already fine. he'd probably be ready to back up next year, though if hill is decent then there's no need to rush him.
