I read somewhere during the offseason that Braun's goal for the upcoming season was to be more patient and draw more walks. It's too early to tell how legit this new Braun is, but so far he's walked 11 times in 68 bats.

 

Not really a point to this post, but he's going to be a very scary hitter if he keeps this up.

Pitt just walked Braun with men on 2nd and 3rd to bring Prince Fielder up with the bases loaded (and a double play situation).

 

3 runs later and the buccos ain't gonna pull it out tonight.

Ryan Braun and Ryan Howard are going to be the biggest post-steriod sluggers of this era followed by Evan Longoria.

Longoria isn't in their class of hitting for power. I'd take Prince Fielder over him as far as pure sluggers go. Hell even his own teammate Carlos Pena.

Braun worries me whenever he's at the plate facing the Coo. He's a dangerous hitter.
