Looks like Yahoo is opening another multipiece investigative series based on BALCO testimony. Evidently they have testimony from a drug-testing expert and the former lead investigator of BALCO saying that The Clear (THG) was not illegal and not technically classified as a steroid until early 2005. They expect Bonds to use that defense in his perjury case.

Does anyone still care?

I'm sort of curious how it took looking into sealed grand jury testimony to find out that The Clear was not illegal at the time Bonds and other BALCO athletes were accused of taking it.

I'm no legal expert but wouldn't that just be common knowledge to anyone willing to look at the law in question?

The Clear a synthetic substance from my understanding. That means it has no legal standing until it goes through the FDA. It's splitting hairs and a technicality though.

As for the "sealed testimony" it's a matter of public record b/c Bonds is being brought up on lying.
