I just traded Eli Manning and Michael Pittman for Marion Barber. I still have Peyton Manning and Matt Ryan at QB (only one QB active), but at RB I was starting the likes of Rudi Johnson. So I see that as trading from a position of strength for a major need.

Yeah, I think that's a good deal for both. I guess it depends on who his backup RB was though! Barber is a stud.

Dallas has alot of weapons, Barber isn't as good of a running back as he is a real life back as a result. I would have held out for someone better, or I would have given Peyton instead of Eli.

I have been offered

Fitzgerald

Mcfadden/Thomas Jones/Jamal Lewis/Chris Johnson

for

Andre Johnson

LeRon McClain

I have Slaton, Jackson, and Turner all ahead of McClain for two spots.

Would I be an idiot not to take this?

The numbers look off. Is it one of McFadden/Jones/Lewis/Johnson(I'm assuming this)? Or will you have to drop some guys to make it fit, if so, then who you would have to drop should be factored into what you're losing as well. Fitz and Johnson are close in value now, but Fitzs projected value will drop a little when Boldin comes back. McClain for one of those other four is close to a wash if you've got three guys ahead of that already. This is a faily even trade, but I think holding onto Johnson makes more sense long-term, even though Fitz may pay off more for however long Boldin is out. I wouldn't do it if it's a two-for-two trade which it looks like it is.

Despite the start to their seasons I still think Peyton is better than Eli (just my personal opinion, perhaps biased by the fact that the Colts are my second favorite team behind Da Bears). I actually posted on the league message board several weeks ago that I was interested in trading Eli for a good RB, and this was the first bite I got at all.

A guy I work with has a stellar core of receivers...Boldin, Roddy White, Reggie Wayne, Lee Evans, Bernard Berrian, and Kevin Walter.

I'm not bad, but not nearly as good on receivers. I have Fitzgerald, Cotchery, Hester, Edwards, and Engram.

Here's the twist: He's a Pitt alum, and went to school with Fitzgerald. He really wants him, and had offered me Boldin for him straight up just before Boldin got hurt. I didn't make the move at the time, and he was a little hesitant on that move anyways. He's not hesitant anymore, for obvious reasons. He has 4 of the top 11 scoring receivers (Boldin, White, Wayne, and Evans).

I'm thinking about upping the offer with him. I'm looking at offering a Fitz for Bolding (after this Sunday, obviously), but I want to pack another receiver swap on top of that. I want to nab another one of his top four. What would be the best set of second players to pile on top of that offer? Cotchery for White? Hester for Evans? Would that be trying to hard to take advantage of him being a homer for Fitzgerald since he went to school with him?
