category-based leagues

i've never played in one before this year, and it's safe to say i don't get them. this team is in the championship in a 12-team league.

i mean, he's got good pitchers (z, oswalt, harden), but that's a really terrible lineup, isn't it? his first four draft picks were fielder, victor martinez, bedard and carlos guillen. i mean, [expletive]. i'm not bitter or anything, as i was WAY in last place before a late season surge and i was just kind of befuddled by the whole thing. and i had a lineup including adrian gonzalez, utley, aramis, berkman, quentin, and hawpe. my pitching wasn't great, but i had dempster, peavy, liriano, lilly and lowe. i mean, in our league wouldn't my team murder that team?

 

anyway, i clearly prefer point-based leagues.
