HAHA! That is a awesome story..., My fav part?

F: Thanks man... are you hammered right now?

M: Yeah kinda, we're on our second bottle

F: Yeah man, me too

The proper response should have been "Stop hitting on me, Mike Fontenot!"

Wow, that is really awesome. The only cool story I have is that I bumped fists with Octavio Dotel at a Sox game.

Do any Cubs players visit ND during the offseason? :D

Uh I bet Shark goes to a few  Plus, I'm pretty sure I saw Dempster at the ND-Syracuse game during Quinn's Jr. year

interesting fact: Dempster was a ND baseball commit before he signed with the Rangers.

I believe Ski thinks ND stands for North Dakota.

Yes, ND has and will always stand for North Dakota.

You do realize that if you asked 1000 Americans what they thought of when they heard the letters 'ND', maybe 3 would say North Dakota, and that's only because they live there.

i'm pretty sure you're dead wrong on that. ND is the postal abbreviation, and it's definitely the first thing i think of. a majority might say stupid notre dame, but it's hardly as lopsided as you say.

I didn't say the other 997 would say Notre Dame, just that virtually nobody would say North Dakota. Not that I know what else people would say, but I doubt that many people would say North Dakota.

What else would ND stand for, besides Notre Dame or North Dakota?

oddest thing, you cant sleep with your shoes on? I'd love to have set this up in the 'Ask me anything about ND' but... it's late and, merci. http://realestate.aol.com/photo-galleries/improve/laws-you-might-be-breaking?pg=6

Not a story about Fontenot, I always think its great when something like that happens....

Here is my story.... but it was I would guess kind of NOT a good one dealing with a Cubs player (I have one other I have shared in the past - Good one).

I'm at a game in Atlanta in 2001 with my wife. We were along the third base line about 20 rows up and and about half way between the wall and 3rd base! My wife was watching the bullpen to see who was warming up or if the Cubs were getting anyone up to warm up, I guess! (Thats her story so I will buy it)! Anyways; I turn around to look as well at about the same time Robert Machado (remember him?) was standing on a chair in the bullpen waving at my wife to come over! - I WAS SEATING RIGHT NEXT TO HER! She stood up because as I'm sure you know there are many people there, to make sure he was waving at her. She pointed to herself and he started doing the YES motion with his head!

I will not tell you the end of the story, but I did get a team autographed baseball and bat!

JUST KIDDING!

She took her seat again next to me and then we talked about the whole thing for the next inning! Just seemed odd! Maybe he just wanted to tell her he liked her shirt or something! hahaha!

Anyways - That's my story!
