Love love love Pat Hughes, but the man is slipping quite a bit. I have definitely noticed a higher rate of mistaken HR calls "THERES A DRIVE DEEP TO LEFT, THIS ONE....is going to be caught by the LF, 1 away." in recent years, but last night was horrible. In the 9th inning when Hermida was AB, Soto dropped 2 foul tips that would have been strikeouts in the AB. Both times Pat said on the air "HE GOT HIM! TWO AW- oh wait Soto dropped the ball, its a foul tip." Do you know how frustrating this is to hear on the radio when you are clinging to every word in a tense game. Again, I love Pat Hughes, but you have to contain yourself a bit to limit the mistakes. My heart dropped multiple times in that 9th inning.
