-Jemile Weeks managed to get hurt on the first play of the game. There was a close play at 1B and I couldn't tell if he tried to slide into 1B and botched it or if he just fell.

We were right in front of Jemile Weeks when he got hurt. It happened very quickly, but the best I could tell was that, as he was leaning for the base, his foot hit it awkwardly, causing a stumble (making it look like he dove in late!). When the trainer was working on him, it seemed like they were treating it like a charley horse, so not sure what his prognosis actually is. Perhaps some sort of strained leg muscle?

BA:

In the first at-bat of the game, Weeks hit a grounder to short and injured himself when he stumbled over first base trying to beat the play out. He had to be helped off the field and was taken out of the game. The injury was believed to be a hip flexor, but Weeks will be re-evaluated after an MRI today.

Knowing the cub game was on the monitors explains a lot. I couldn't always tell why things were erupting with cheers, as we were in row 7.

By far the funniest moment of the game was when the scoreboard operators put the Cubs' first run on the board right as Lara struck out. The crowd went nuts exactly when he swung, making it seem like the place was going bananas for him whiffing on strike 3.
