you have to make lincecum's arm fall off. send theriot up there and tell him to work him for 20 pitches, foul after foul after foul. in fact, tell every hitter to do that.

 

that's the only way that you can break lincecum, you certainly aren't going to hit him very hard.

 

if teams start doing this to lincecum like they did to prior, we'll see just how "perfect" timmy's mechanics are.

 

It's sort of funny that when he was drafted by the Giants, many teams were questioning his mechanics. He was viewed as an arm injury witing to happen. Now that he has a year an a half (or so) of MLB experience; he is viewed as "the Freak". FWIW I didn't read the SI article, but I heard that it actually goes as far as to praise his mechanics.

Well they gave Kosuke the day off and would you want Daryle Ward in RF and Derosa in Left? That would put two liabilities in the OF.

It looks like a lot of his power comes from his long stride. His wind up is looks more lower body and less arm.
